Elementary Classes
Kindergarten - 6th Grade
For our Elementary students, there is a wide selection of academic and electives classes that parents can choose from. The benefit of our Hybrid Model is that parents are fully in control of their student’s education and all classes are chosen on a A La Carte basis for what will best meet your family’s needs.
Waldorf-Inspired Learning
Each of the K-6th grade classes follow The Sonlight, Christian Curriculum with a Waldorf-inspired learning technique for their core academics. Waldorf is a holistic approach to education designed to nurture the head, heart, and hands—thinking, feeling, and doing. It integrates academics, the arts, and practical skills to develop the whole child, balancing intellectual growth with creativity and purposeful work.
Subjects are taught through storytelling, art, music, and hands-on experiences rather than traditional textbooks, helping students connect deeply with what they learn. Emphasizing imagination, craftsmanship, and moral development, Waldorf education seeks to inspire lifelong curiosity, confidence, and compassion in every student.
Creative Electives
Our K-6G Electives include, but are not limited to, Bible, Tae Kwon Do, Cooking, Gardening, PE, Ballet, and Music.
Salt values the opportunity for students to experience varying classes, learn new skills, and enjoy school outside of just the requirements. Our teachers are experienced and passionate and create a space for students to love learning.
Core Academics
Along with the Waldorf-Inspired classes, Salt Hybrid Academy also offers additional Core Academic classes — Math, Science, Writing, Literature, Enrichment.
These subjects utilize Christian curriculum and the goal at Salt is to provide students’ with a strong foundation for their academics, while pointing back to Christ and integrating God’s Word throughout their education.
